Some stories begin with ambition.
Ours began with pause.

Aravur came to life in a season I didn’t choose, a stretch of loss, quiet, and emotional unraveling. There was a moment I remember clearly. I walked into a room, overwhelmed by what had just happened. The air smelled… wrong. The scent amplified the ache. It reminded me that even something invisible could hold weight.

That’s when I realised.
Scent isn’t just background, it’s an emotional interrupt.
A single mist can change the energy of a space, and the state of a person in it.

Growing up, my mum loved perfume. I’d tiptoe through her collection, fascinated by how something you couldn’t see could make you feel so seen. That quiet fascination followed me into adulthood, and eventually, into building Aravur.

I was also tired.
Tired of candles I’d forget to blow out.
Diffusers that dulled into nothing.
Scents that didn’t meet me where I was.

I wanted something quick.
Intentional.
Emotional.
And beautiful.

Aravur was born from that need. A collection of room sprays created not for a space, but for a state. Rise. Flow. Shift. Ground. Dream. Each one mapped to a rhythm of the day. Each one designed to meet you in the moment.

I’m a PhD student. A mum. A partner. A founder.
My days stretch across modes - thinker, carer, seeker, still.

Aravur helps me move between them.
